A session usually lasts from 30-45 minutes. Facial injections generally don’t require anaesthesia, whereas lip enhancement usually does. Treatment entails the injection of tiny amounts of a crystal clear gel into the skin via a very thin needle. The gel integrates with the surrounding tissue, resulting in a smooth and natural look. The effect of facial fillers is dependent on the individual in question, but usually they will last for between 6-12 months. Side effects of facial fillers include swelling, bruising, redness, discomfort and inflammation, all of which typically resolve quickly. A very small number of patients have experienced localised reactions in the form of subcutaneous papules.
